It has been a busy, somewhat productive 2014, I am sad to see it end. This year we are looking forward to welcoming a new grandchild in early April! Welcome baby Smith!!
I have spent the past week purging my craft/quilting/computer room. I can finally see the floor and have made a good deal of progress in cleaning out projects undone and no longer needed.I have finished several older projects and have plans to finish many more that have been languishing in no woman's land for too long.
I have pledged to buy no more fabric to start other projects until I finish some that are already here and started. I will allow that I may have to purchase finishing fabrics for backing & such, but I sure want to resist filing all of the empty spaces with more stuff that will sit for way too long.
Currently I am in the midst of finishing a Christmas Redwork Quilt that has been on my design board for almost 2 years. The Embroidery part is finished, the quilt blocks need to be decided on and constructed!
This needs to be done before I start anything else! As you see it needs a good press before I start adding more blocks. It has been rolled up in the shade design wall all week. Still have yet to figure out where to go from this center part. Do I need even more Redwork Christmas Squares or more Quilt Blocks??
Well back to work, and to anyone reading..... Have a Healthy, Happy and Productive New Year!
